Cagrilintide
Overview
Cagrilintide mimics amylin, a hormone released alongside insulin that contributes to feelings of fullness and slows gastric emptying, a different pathway than the GLP-1 peptides it’s often paired with. Combining an amylin analog with a GLP-1 agonist is a strategy under active clinical investigation, on the idea that hitting both pathways produces a stronger combined effect than either alone.
