Every result answers one narrow question
A single term on a report doesn't describe everything about a sample — it describes exactly what that one test measured.
Identity
Confirms the compound present matches the expected peptide sequence, distinguishing it from a different or substituted compound.
Purity
Measures how much of the sample is the intended peptide, versus degradation products or synthesis byproducts.
Net Peptide Content
The actual peptide mass in the vial once water, salts, and counter-ions are excluded from the total powder weight.
Sterility
Checks whether the sample is free of viable bacteria or fungal growth. Not part of every submission.
Endotoxin
Measures bacterial endotoxin levels, most relevant for anything intended to be sterile or injectable. Not part of every submission.

Common questions
What does PepLytics Verify verify?
It matches a specific lot number to independent laboratory documentation for that exact batch, so you can see what was actually tested. It verifies that a record exists for that lot, not the product or brand as a whole.
Does a verified report mean a peptide is safe?
No. A lab report describes results for that sample, such as identity, purity, or content. It does not establish that a compound is safe, effective, or appropriate for any use.
Why does the lot number matter?
Peptide products can vary from batch to batch. A report tied to a different lot, even of the same nominal product, doesn't tell you anything about the specific batch you have.
Who performs the laboratory testing?
Independent third-party laboratories with no ownership, financial, or operational relationship to PepLytics or to the source of the material being tested.
Does every test include sterility?
No. Testing scope varies by submission. A record might cover identity and purity without a sterility or endotoxin test, so check exactly what was tested before assuming a full profile.
Can suppliers submit testing?
Documentation can originate from a supplier submitting an independent lab’s report. PepLytics does not perform the testing itself, and a record appearing here does not mean PepLytics endorses or is affiliated with that supplier or product.
Can testing results change between batches?
Yes, and that's exactly why lot-level matching matters. A new manufacturing run can produce different results even for the same nominal product, which is why each record is tied to one specific lot rather than a product line.
