Epitalon
Overview
Epitalon is a short, four-amino-acid synthetic peptide based on a naturally occurring compound in the pineal gland. Much of the research interest centers on its potential effect on telomerase activity and the pineal gland’s regulation of melatonin, both of which are tied to broader theories of cellular aging.
