Melanotan I (Afamelanotide)
Overview
Melanotan I works by activating melanocortin receptors involved in melanin production, and is the basis for an approved pharmaceutical treatment for a rare light-sensitivity condition. It’s more selective for pigmentation than Melanotan II, without the same reputation for appetite and libido side effects.
