Melanotan II
Overview
Melanotan II activates the same pigmentation pathway as Melanotan I but binds more melanocortin receptor subtypes, which is why it’s associated with effects beyond tanning, including the arousal-related activity that led to the development of PT-141 as a more selective spinoff.
