Retatrutide

Overview

Retatrutide extends the same GLP-1/GIP approach used by semaglutide and tirzepatide with a third receptor target, glucagon, thought to add an effect on energy expenditure alongside appetite suppression. Early trial data has drawn significant attention for showing a larger average weight reduction than earlier GLP-1-based compounds, though it’s newer and has a shorter track record than either.
