Sermorelin

Overview

Sermorelin is a shortened, synthetic version of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) covering the portion of the molecule needed to bind its receptor. It has a longer history of clinical use than most peptides in this category, including past pharmaceutical approval for diagnosing and treating growth hormone deficiency in children. It works upstream of growth hormone itself, prompting the pituitary to produce more of its own.
