Overview
SS-31 concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it’s studied for stabilizing a lipid involved in the electron transport chain and reducing the oxidative damage that accumulates with age or injury. It’s been studied in a range of contexts tied to mitochondrial dysfunction, from cardiovascular to muscular research.
